🙏  For a practice-oriented project with a media company, I am looking for a motivated and dedicated team of students (2+) to manage the process optimization and automation of the media company’s internal processes.

💡 Background

The project study will entail independently working on assigned tasks to map the process landscape of the media company and to identify optimization and automation potential. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is on the rise in this company, so processes will be evaluated from an AI-ready perspective. Part of the project will be a partially paid on-site visit in Hamburg holding interviews with various stakeholders and process owners in the company. The project study will be supervised by me as a postdoc and experienced researcher and potentially one more doctoral candidate.

The Chair for Strategy and Organization is focused on research with impact. This means we do not want to repeat old ideas and base our research solely on the research people did 10 years ago. Instead, we currently research topics that will shape the future. Topics such as Agile Organisations and Digital Disruption, Blockchain Technology, Creativity and Innovation, Digital Transformation and Business Model Innovation, Diversity, Education: Education Technology and Performance Management, HRTech, Leadership, and Teams.. We are always early in noticing trends, technologies, strategies, and organisations that shape the future, which has its ups and downs.

The goals are to successfully develop ideas for the media company and to finalize the project within 2025.

🎓 Profile

No specific profile preferred. Knowledge of German is not a requirement but preferred. Students should be motivated and able to work independently. Prior knowledge in process optimization or automation as well as artificial intelligence are a plus.
