💡 Background
Your work will be part of a research project focused on “Female Entrepreneurship and Parentpreneurship”. We are keen on understanding the barriers to female entrepreneurship, as well as, the challenges of balancing being a founder and having a family with children. Although there is consensus that parenthood poses a challenge to founding and might even be a barrier for female entrepreneurship, there is only little empirical research that has studied these factors.
🦾Who We Are
The Chair for Strategy and Organization is focused on research with impact. This means we do not want to repeat old ideas and base our research solely on the research people did 10 years ago. Instead, we currently research topics that will shape the future. Topics such as Agile Organizations and Digital Disruption, Blockchain Technology, Creativity and Innovation, Digital Transformation and Business Model Innovation, Diversity, Education: Education Technology and Performance Management, HRTech, Leadership, and Teams.. We are always early in noticing trends, technologies, strategies, and organizations that shape the future, which has its ups and downs.
This thesis will be co-supervised by Amelie Pahl and Carla Pregel Hoderlein who are part of the Management Team of the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM). The CDTM is a joint institution of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) and the Technische Universität München (TUM). CDTM offers the interdisciplinary add-on study program „Technology Management“, which is part of the Elite Network of Bavaria. Students from various study backgrounds with creative ideas, great motivation and an entrepreneurial mindset are offered the tools to put their ideas into practice. Amelie and Carla conduct research on Gender Diversity in the Context of Entrepreneurship.
