Business Angel (BA) is generally a high net worth individual with prior business expertise who invests in young high growing businesses. In addition to capital experienced BAs also provide their expertise, bearing higher risk for a longer period of time before they get any returns on their investments. Business Angles, normally fill the funding gap that arises from shortage of capital provided by family, friends, and venture capital investors.
Angel networks (AN), as the name indicates are organized networks of Business Angels, who collect funds mutually, collectively invest in same businesses, and provide holistic management support to their portfolio companies (Wigmore, 2013). They are active investors, gather lager funds than individual BA, and operate more efficiently by making mutual decisions and collaborative investments with other investor groups especially similar angel groups
