Family Offices (FO) are funds managing companies of rich families, owning large capital, for indirect ownership investments in companies to minimize conflicts among the family investors. This funding method is gaining popularity in entrepreneurial finance and on contrary to VC funds their commitment is longer; sometimes even 10 to 12 years in startup environment, in order to use their funds more prudently and productively. Family offices are generally, longterm investors with primary focus on financial goals, invest in growth phases of startups and sometimes are sources of equity.
