Research goal:
While there is extensive research about predictors of marriage failure, little is known about what predicts break-ups in startup founding teams. Since there are few criteria for assessing the likelihood of success, especially in the early stages of start-ups, we focus our research on the team perspective. Our aim is to find patterns of behavior in the event of conflict that predict satisfaction and subsequent break-ups in start-up teams.
Method:
Empirical analysis based on a longitudinal primary dataset collected at TUM 2023. Conflict styles were assessed in a laboratory setting and satisfaction via questionnaires.
