📌 Key facts
💡 Background
Climate change is no longer a distant threat – it is here, and it’s reshaping how businesses operate, where they locate, and which industries will thrive or struggle. From extreme heat disrupting supply chains to water scarcity forcing companies to rethink their global footprints, climate change is rewriting the rules of global business.
What does this mean for companies, big and small? How can they adapt, survive, and innovate in the face of such challenges?
That’s where YOU come in.
Your thesis will explore the cutting edge of this conversation through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR):
- Which industries are most affected by climate change?
- How do businesses decide where to move their operations when regions face extreme risks?
- How are firms responding to resource scarcity, such as water and energy, while staying competitive?
Sounds interesting?! It definitely is! If you’re curious about the intersection of business, strategy, and sustainability, this SLR is your chance to dive into a topic that matters for the future of organizations worldwide.
🦾Who We Are
The Chair for Strategy and Organization is focused on research with impact. This means we do not want to repeat old ideas and base our research solely on the research people did 10 years ago. Instead, we currently research topics that will shape the future. Topics include Agile Organizations and Digital Disruption, Blockchain Technology, Creativity and Innovation, Digital Transformation and Business Model Innovation. We are always early in noticing trends, technologies, strategies, and organizations that shape the future. We also believe the future of business lies in responding to the world’s biggest challenges – and climate change is at the very top of the list.
We’re looking for motivated students ready to take on this challenge and uncover insights that will shape business decisions for years to come.
