The goal of this research is to synthesize a detailed checklist that companies can utilize to understand a) how they can assess the current robustness of their business models in the face of AI (required for BA and MA), b ) where they can integrate AI into their operations to enhance established business models (MA Thesis – Option 1), c) how they can gain a detailed understanding on where exactly AI should be applied in their company’s value creation chain to generate maximum impact (Master Thesis – Option 2).

💡 Background
Artificial intelligence is considered one of the most important driving forces for future economic development. With the rapid advancements in AI technology, there is a growing interest in how AI can be leveraged to augment established business models and to enhance productivity and the value creation chain. However, established frameworks on how AI can be used in order to enhance business models and the value creation chain still need to be comprehensively summarized through rigorous research.

In better understanding the challenges and opportunities for AI-enhances business models, we can contribute to shaping the corporate landscape, drive innovation, and ensure the effective integration of AI technologies in current and future business applications.

The Chair for Strategy and Organization is focused on research with impact. This means we do not want to repeat old ideas and base our research solely on the research people did 10 years ago. Instead, we currently research topics that will shape the future. Topics such as Agile Organizations and Digital Disruption, Blockchain Technology, Creativity and Innovation, Digital Transformation and Business Model Innovation, Diversity, Education: Education Technology and Performance Management, HRTech, Leadership, and Teams.. We are always early in noticing trends, technologies, strategies, and organizations that shape the future, which has its ups and downs.

- Gain a deep understanding of AI technologies and their potential to streamline and automate work processes.
- Investigate the effectiveness of AI interventions in corporate environments, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and reducing human error.
- Analyze how AI can optimize production cycles, workflow management and automate repetitive tasks, leading to improved productivity and allowing employees to allocate their time more effectively.
- Evaluate the use of different assessments of AI-competence to quantify the ability of AI-use across different industry use-cases.
- Generate an AI- Checklist to help companies understand how they can utilize AI to enhance their established business models and 10x their value proposition.

- Intervention Analysis and Review: Investigate the use of AI focused interventions, to determine which approach is most effective in enhancing AI usage. Discover in which settings which type of intervention is the most useful and how it can be implemented.
