💡 Background

MCube Consulting is part of the MCube Network – Munich Cluster for the Future of Mobility in Metropolitan Regions.

We support public institutions and industry partners in bringing mobility and smart-city innovations into real-world implementation. Our work combines:

  • Scientific research
  • Applied consulting
  • Digital product development

Project Context

Cities face increasing challenges in coordinating public events (festivals, markets, cultural events, etc.).

Current processes are often:

  • Manual
  • Paper-based
  • Slow & non-transparent

Together with partners from research and public administration, MCube Consulting is developing a data-driven, digital event-management prototype:

→ to simplify coordination

→ improve transparency

→ reduce administrative workload

→ integrate geospatial + process data for better decision support.

This IDP allows students to help design and prototype these tools in a real innovation environment.

🚀 What You Will Work On

As part of the project team, you may:

  • Develop and test prototype components (backend workflows, web forms, etc.)
  • Build or integrate map-based visualizations and geospatial data layers
  • Design or improve user interfaces for applicants and administration staff
  • Analyze event-related data flows and evaluate usability
  • (Optional) Explore AI-based validation (e.g., matching similar historical events)

You will work iteratively, and your contributions will influence the real prototype direction.
