The significance of this research lies in the fact that it makes an attempt to explore a new phenomenon that is as yet unexplored. Though there are known to exist inherent challenges within web 2.0 that podcasters have been confronted with, and there are many deliberations on how web 3.0 can be instrumental in circumventing the challenges thus presented, there is no clear-cut information as to what the challenges are, or how web 3.0 can be of use in overcoming any existing challenges.
These are the Research questions I tried answering in the paper
Research Questions
- What factors do podcasters consider most important when choosing podcast hosting platforms?
- What are the challenges faced by podcasters while using web 2.0 based podcast hosting platforms?
- How the use of web 3.0 can be helpful in resolving challenges from web 2.0 platforms?
Given that there is a lack of studies that have previously examined these factors, the findings from this research would be significant in the sense that it will add on to the current body of literature and also offer possible insights to podcasters on how they can leverage the full potential of web 3.0 for their podcasting requirements.
