Consumer rights advocacy
This is a category that could include flight compensation claims, but it is also much broader - from disputing the unjust traffic tickets to unwanted subscriptions.
One key market player in this field, DoNotPay, has leveraged robotic process automation and built a consumer rights advocacy application around it. This is regarded as the world’s first robot lawyer. The company started as a platform for fighting parking tickets and now can support 200 legal cases, from canceling unwanted gym subscriptions to getting out of free trials on internet subscriptions or getting refunds from companies - with only just a few clicks!
The automation cases here are customisable bots that can draft letters, fill out the information, and prepare claims on behalf of the user. The system is designed and supported by lawyers, but the whole system is automated.
