The IFCN launched by Poynter in 2015 promotes the excellence of fact checking to around 100 international organizations and monitors trends by offering resources to fact checkers around the world

Network aims to provide support for new projects and initiatives that advance accountability in journalism
💡
To foster the identification, funding and launching of innovative proposals that address the global threat of misinformation, the IFCN works alongside with partners like Facebook, WhatsApp, and the Meta Journalism Project

✅ U.S Fact Checking Initiatives have been considered…

… since misinformation strives in the U.S since the U.S presidential election in 2016

… as the U.S. is among the most rechnologically developed countires worldwide over the last few years

… since the initiatives ‘FactCheck.org’ and ‘AP Fact Check’, which are within the sample, are considered the pioneers of fact checking initiatives and thus, considered as experienced and experts
