Dr. Gesche Drescher (geb. Lotzkat)

RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am interested in leadership behaviors, leadership outcomes, as well as selection processes in the management sector. As part of the “BMBF – Selection and Evaluation of Leaders in Business and Academia”-Project, I focus on studying attributes of hiring decisions. We try to understand impression formation in the selection procedure of executives and to detect influencing variables such as gender, status, or communication style. Another area of interest, are leadership theories and globalization. In my diploma thesis, I investigated the effectiveness of shared leadership in face-to-face- and virtual teams.
